Company overview

Global Daily is an advertising and PR firm for foreign visitors to Japan. Since the start of our business in 2008, as a leading company in the inbound tourism industry, we have continued to convey the appeal of Japan to the rest of the world through various PR activities such as content production and media tie-ups. Currently, we are also facing the issue of overtourism and are focusing on communicating the attractions of regions that are not yet known abroad.
The company's strength is its thorough overseas perspective. In the inbound tourism industry, information is generally disseminated by Japanese people, but all of the company's content is produced by foreign personnel. "Japanese people and foreigners find different points of attraction, so we try to provide content from the perspective of foreigners," says Managing Director Ryoji Arai.
In addition, the tie-up business actively assigns work to foreign personnel from about 10 countries, enabling direct dealings with local media and influencers. By not going through other advertising agencies, we are able to conduct PR more quickly and effectively, which is a major advantage.
One of the employees who has supported the company since its early days is Mr. Kin, a native of South Korea. "I thought that inbound PR would allow me to give back to Japan in my own way, as it has been so kind to me. The company has a flexible atmosphere, and I felt that I could realize my ideas in terms of both operations and organization, so I decided to join the company," said Kin. He also studied photography and videography from scratch, and has produced many high-quality contents that convey the charms of Japan. Currently, he is active as Executive Director, overseeing the content production department.

Work-life balance initiatives

One of the company's unique policies is its "big family policy." It expresses the company's determination to take care of its employees and their families as if they were family members.
First, employees are allowed to work flexibly, including staggered work hours, shorter hours, and telecommuting, so that they can devote more time to their personal lives. "We want our employees to enjoy life outside of work. When one's private life is fulfilled, there should be a synergistic effect of doing well at work," says Arai. Kin takes advantage of the flexible work schedule and time off to enjoy enjoys training and mountain climbing. He says, "My personal experience has been a stimulus for me, and it gives me more motivation for my work."
In addition to childcare and nursing care leave, we also have a system called "Heruhori" as a mechanism to take care of employees and their families. Employees can take time off, in addition to paid vacations, on days when they or their family members are sick. In addition, to support employees raising children, subsidies for childcare expenses are available.
In addition, there is a unique system called "Work Visit Day" that allows employees to invite their families to the company. Family members say that being able to personally see the company's environment and the employees who work there gives them a sense of security.
"As someone who works alone, away from my family, it's nice to know that the company takes care of me and my family as if we were family," says Kin.

Human resource development initiatives

Global Daily is committed to fostering people who can take on challenges in their own way under the action guideline "Do! different." In addition to training in work-related skills, we also offer unique training programs such as self-improvement training through marathons and team-building training by climbing Mt. Fuji. and rice planting. Kin is one of the most active employees participating in these trainings. "As someone who is always looking for stimulation, I am glad to have the opportunity to challenge myself outside of work. I feel that by not just participating, but also devising ways to get better at it, it will help me grow in terms of my work. Recently, I have started to actively involve other employees as well as myself," says Kin.
We have also introduced overseas training programs in the hope that students will acquire a flexible way of thinking without setting boundaries in their thinking. "In order to hone the most important 'outside perspective' in inbound tourism, it is important to develop the habit of questioning the norm. Experiences in a foreign country where common sense does not prevail should provide an opportunity for employees to broaden their horizons," says Arai.
Furthermore, as an organization, the company has lowered the barriers between positions and occupations, allowing people to consult with a variety of people according to what they want to do. "The first priority is to develop each employee's area of expertise. Even if we make a mistake, we do not reprimand the person, but share it within the company so that it can be applied to future measures," says Arai.

Message from our top executive

Managing Director Ryoji Arai

At our company, human resources from about 10 countries around the world are engaged in mutual improvements. At times, we even consider PR measures for Japan for countries other than our home country. I think it is a very interesting experience to learn about the values and ways of thinking of countries around the world from the perspective of transmitting the attractiveness of Japan. If you want to be a bridge between Japan, your home country, and the world, come work with us.

Message from foreign talent

Executive Director/Andy Kin(South Korea)

I had the impression that foreigners could not be promoted in the same way as Japanese people in Japanese companies, but Global Daily is a company that evaluates people on their merit, regardless of their nationality. I myself have been given the position of senior manager, which I find very rewarding. There are many positions available that match your strengths, so please come and take the plunge and challenge yourself!
